It says the next campaign to be released Q3 '07 will be titled "Eye of the North". It states that it will cost less than the previous campaigns, but it will be an expansion in that you have to own at least one of the previous campaigns (any one).

It says there are 10 new heroes. I didn't think any campaigns other than Nightfall would have more heroes since we'd then have a bunch of repeat professions and such.

After this, supposedly GW will be on hiatus (in that there wont be any new full campaigns) 'til around '09 when GW2 will be released. It supposedly happens hundreds of years after Prophecies and will include zone wide open battles.
The very first thing that comes to my mind is...after GW2 comes out, how long till the GW1 servers are shut down?

Also too bad there won't be any more chapters after the 4th. Course theres always a chance something else arrives in the GW1 franchise but afaik iirc the original idea was 12 chapters total (please correct me if I'm wrong on the 12 chapters department!)

Dang..I'm realy gonna miss GW1 after it's closure..
Atleast we still have a while to go till then!

Good, since the "Asurians" are a playable race in GW2. Asura = Asurian? Probably

The pet itself aside, this at least confirms the existence of the race of Asurians. But I don't think they're going to be a playable race as the Inquirer would have us believe....

OMG that thing is weird to say the least. Well this is the big news I guess we have been waiting. Now for the speculation to begin as to what the hell are these gangly creatures! Where do they tie up!! What are we going to do with them?(not the minipet of course!)

I for one believe these guys will show up even before GW2 as some kind of race involved in the whole mursaat and the magumma jungle fiasco(talk about mismanagement). Their armor indicates some kind of nature theme so one can assume them to be connected to what's going on in chapter 4(the whole kryta connection!) Maybe we help them out and the story takes us through us helping out the charr and these guys as well!! Then in GW2 we begin with all of us living together and then evil once again raises its ugly head!!
Notice the background too people!! Jungle like but a structure too!!
Must---Know---More!!

for all we know, that articles could be fake (as much i dont want).
Anet coulda created a little mini pet once they read the article and released it to tease us.

Apart from the fact it takes longer than half a day to model, texture, rig and animate a 3D model.

[Edit] Sorry above post wasn't there when I wrote this, honest.

Well if they're being released with PC Gamer now, that means they'll play some role in Eye of the North, and not be first introduced in GW2.

Come on Smithy I doubt they could create a minipet in 24 hours flat!! The art team at Anet is good but not that good.

think about this people.

every item proven true puts one more of the things you want in that article into the WRONG/MISLEADING catagory.

and that *RIGHT* group is not that big in the first place.

I can tell you that some of what you've read is right, some of it is wrong, and quite a bit of it is misleading.
when you take away the *quite a bit is misleading* and the flat out *wrong* that does not leave much in the article that is *right*

True, but how else can we rampantly speculate without discarding the facts?!
